Our Story
We were born from a family dream: to create a sanctuary where time stands still and tradition comes to life. In the heart of Titicaca's floating islands, we open our home to you.
We are an indigenous family originally from the Uros. Living on a floating island is not just a lifestyle for us; it is an honor we preserve with pride. Every corner of Uros Samaraña Uta Lodge has been woven with the wisdom of our ancestors, offering not just a roof, but a deep immersion into the daily life of the lake.
You will learn about our flora, our fauna, and the Andean astronomy that guides our nights. We are not a conventional luxury; we are the luxury of the authentic, the sustainable, and the human. We protect our Mother Qota Mama with every action, using solar panels and ecological methods so that the legacy of the Uros keeps floating forever.
