Over the years, things weren't as easy as we thought, but we managed to create something unique and special for the tourism world in Puno, Lake Titicaca. Our passion for service led us to found Uros Samarana Uta Lodge, which means "your rest house." This proposal would make us a benchmark for stylish accommodation, offering traditional and elegant decor, stunning views of Lake Titicaca, and, above all, great comfort and an authentic experience, marked by a vibrant culture.

The family of Uros Samaraña Uta Lodge is native to the area. We are an indigenous family living on a floating island, which means each guest has an experience closely connected to our daily lives. Here, we learn about the local flora and fauna, Andean history and astronomy, knowledge we inherited from our ancestors. Being on the lake fills us with joy, especially when observing the birds, the sunsets, and the starry sky, surrounded by nature, which brings us a deep inner peace.

We were born and raised on a floating island, and our native language is Aymara. We learned English thanks to the travelers who visited us, whom we consider part of our second family.

We are not a luxury lodge, but we do our best to offer the best comfort and provide an authentic and unique experience, using the resources at our disposal. On the Uros Islands, we still face limitations such as a lack of potable water, sewage systems, and electricity. However, we use eco-friendly methods such as solar panels and dry toilets that help conserve the environment. At the same time, we are committed to preserving and enhancing our living culture and improving the quality of life in our community through job creation, so that our families can provide a better future for their children.
